On Sunday, May 15, 2011 we will be conducting our second Safety Officer Training Workshop at Greater Miami Academy from 10 am – 2 pm. This will be a presentation from various experts on a selection of issues that affect you and give you an opportunity to ask questions to issues you face.
Topics that will be covered include:
What insurance coverages do we have?
Use of contractors for construction or remodeling
How to deal with claims

On March 20, 2011 over 70 Safety Officers from across the state of Florida met at the Florida Conference Office for a training event.
Presenters included a local adjustor, representatives from Adventist Risk Management, and the Florida Conference Property Development Director. The focus of the meeting was preventing losses before they happen by having a safety program in place for each entity. Topics included a review of the current insurance policy coverages, how to file and deal with claims, construction/ remodeling guidelines, volunteers, transportation issues, and more.
