Upcoming Fall 2012 Church Treasurers’ Meetings
Important updates and information for church treasurers will be provided at the upcoming series of Florida Conference regional treasurers’ meetings. Our Property Development staff will be covering several key areas, including:
- the impact of tithe and stewardship on church loans and building projects;
- what it takes to obtain a loan for your building or remodeling project;
- how churches across the state are saving time and money with their owner’s rep.
Regardless of whether you are a long-time or new church treasurer you are certain to find helpful information for your role. The regional meeting dates for Fall 2012 are:

It’s Property Tax Time!
Fall is sure to mean at least two things – cooler weather and property tax bills. In the next few weeks, our department will be receving the property tax bills for any ad-valorem or non ad-valorem taxes that your church or school may be responsible for and we will mail these bills out to the church and school treasurers. Even if your property is tax-exempt, you still must pay any assessments that have been charged to the property. These assessments may include fire rescue, waste removal and stormwater drain fees.
Please remember that you will receive a 4% discount on your bill if you pay by November 30. If you have any questions regarding your church or school tax bill, please feel free to contact Deann Hawley via the Staff section of this web page.
