Elementary students delivered cookies to local fire departments as a way of expressing appreciation for their service to the community.

On December 15, students from Winter Haven Adventist Academy and Okeechobee Adventist Christian School traveled to join West Coast Christian Academy, Bradenton, at Ellenton Ice and Sports Complex to go ice skating. During their visit, they had the opportunity to watch Olympians Mark Ladwig and Amanda Evora at their practice session. Ladwig greeted many of the kids and signed autographs.
Each school brought cookies to the ice rink where teachers divided the varieties equally. The cookies were taken back to the local fire departments as an appreciation for public servants and the important job they do.

Great outreach to the community! It was also a good opportunity for students from small schools to collaborate on outreach and have fun together. Awesome!
