This will be my last email of the year.  I will be back in the new year.  I pray that all of you will have a blessed Christmas and focus on the gift that God gave us.  Without the gift of Jesus we would have no hope.

Another year has almost passed.  How many more?  I so look forward to meeting my Savior face to face.

I have read a few books recently that I would like to recommend.

Sticky Faith by Kara Powell and Chap Clark-I read the kindle edition.  Do you want to make faith alive in your children?  Faith that will stick with them? Read this book and gain some insight into ways to nurture faith in Jesus in your children.

The Heart of The Story by Randy Frazee.  He takes stories from the Bile and shows the Lower Story and God’s Story.  He gives the story that we might see and what God’s Story might be.  Check it out.  It comes in paperback and Kindle

Why Nobody Wants To Go To Church Anymore by Thom and Joni Schultz.  I am currently reading this.  I was reading the book and realized there was an enhanced digital version so I got that.  There is a Kindle version and the enhanced version in iBooks.  So why are people not going to church?  They have done research and have some interesting information.  Makes you stop and think.  The enhanced version has video clips and other media that expands the book.  I also so there beginning of their video based on their research.  It caused me to get the book.

I hope you will get to spend time with your family over this holiday season.

I have a meeting to get to so I will close and post this.  I will also add some more Christmas ideas for your family, Sabbath School, and Children’s Story.

It has been a while since I sent out an newsletter.  It is a very busy season of the year.

We were able to spend a few days with our daughter, son-in-law, and three grandchildren in the Toronto area.  It was cold and we even had snow!

I have just placed a link to a new Spiritual Gifts Inventory.  You can find it on the Free Resources of the website:

I will be putting several Christmas ideas you can use with the Sabbath School or Family.  They will be posted with this newsletter on the news page:

I have a story to tell you about a young single parent and her kids.  As you read this, I am hoping you do not have a similar story.

A young single mother pulled her child out of the church school at the end of the year.  She and the child were having concerns about the teacher and school administration.  Several times she had approached both with her concerns.  These concerns were never addressed.  No one ever asked her why she did this.  She enrolled her children in a public school for the following year.  The children are happy, doing well in school, and the mother is receiving constant communication from the teachers.  The young family went to church on Sabbath and the mother was berated for putting her children in public school.  A short time later a friend invited her to visit another church.  This is her response after visiting that church—“Feeling blessed!! I’ve never walked into a church and felt such a wonderful warm response! Reaching out to my children is such a blessing to a mom.”  This was not an Adventist church.  Are we sending our young families out the door?

I must now post this and add the attachments.
