God put you in a specific place

I was reading K! Magazine at lunch yesterday and came across
this statement by Kevin White:

“God put you in a specific place and a specific time with
specific people for a specific purpose.  It is no accident that you are
where you are.  You will make mistakes, but God can redeem them for a
purpose.”  I think we all need to realize that and to think about it from
time to time.  I will post the article.  It is Simply Creative.

I enjoy sharing resources with you.  It is also fun looking
for new ideas.  I would enjoy getting resource ideas from you.  If
you have anything you wish to share, please do!

I have been able to get all of the KidMin mp3’s uploaded to the
website.  You can find them at
Unfortunately, this page is for Florida Conference members and churches only.

I still have some 12 in 12 Family Edition
available.  Let me know if you are interested and how many you need.

GraceLink has an app that you might enjoy on your smart phone of
ipad.  You can find it in iTunes. It has digital felts that are really
cool to play with.  Search for GraceLink.  You can also subscribe to
the GraceLink podcasts.

Speaking of felts, I have several boxes of felts available for
your mission trips.  If you are going on a mission trip and would like to
take some felts, I have 6 boxes-one already spoken for.

VBS Workshops are coming! I
have attached the flyer and poster.  Get as many of your VBS staff to
come.  We are planning a great workshop on Babylon, Daniel’s Courage in
We will also be featuring Sky, Everything is Possible
With God.

I have several free digital subscriptions to K! Magazine
beginning with the next issue.  If you are interested in receiving this,
let me know.  First come, first served!

Frequently, when driving down the road we live off, I see
wildlife other than the cattle that graze there.  We have seen, many wild
turkeys, foxes, rabbits, a wolf and others.  This morning I saw a
donkey!  He would make a great prop for the Triumphal entry, or nativity
story.  He was just standing peacefully at the side of the road.  I
hope the car that was stopped near him was his owner.  What kind of animal
will I see next?

Because the Easter season will soon be here, I am attaching some
Easter resources for you.  I hope many of your churches will be
celebrating the season in your church and neighborhood.  This is a great
time to share the real reason for Easter.

Now I must get this posted on the website at
and get the attachments posted there.

Until next time, God bless.

January 19, 2012 email

January 19, 2012

I am back in the office after Children’s Pastors’ Conference and
NAD Ministries Convention.  I have so much to digest and then to
share.  I will be posting the mp3’s eventually.  I need to complete
posting the KidMin ones first.

I have attached the VBS flyer and poster.  The mailing went
out on Tues., so watch for it in your mail or the church mail.  I am
looking forward to the workshops.  The Babylon VBS is exciting!  And
so is the Sky VBS that will be highlighted.

I have sent out hundreds of the 12 in 12 books.  If you are
interested, let me know.

I attended a seminar on special needs at the NAD
convention.  I am hoping to get the presenter, Barbara Newman, to present
at our convention in Sept.  I am going to Cohutta next month for an
extended conference on special needs.  This ministry really needs a home
in many of our churches.  The title of the convention is G.L.U.E.—Giving,
Loving, Understanding, and Encouraging.  Go to
and check it out.  As a pediatric special needs nurse for many years, this
is a passion for me.

I am changing the location of the posted email.  You will
find it under the News tab then Children’s events.  This way it will
remain there for you to go back to previous ones.

James E Sampson’s Student Steel Drum Band Wows the Audience

by on January 11, 2012, under Education

Students at James E. Sampson Memorial SDA School performed a beautiful rendition of “When the Saints Go Marching In” on steel drums.  They are a talented group of young people and we wish them the best as they continue to grow and learn and succeed.  Continue making beautiful music for Jesus!
