Gathering the harvest

OUTREACH AND SERVICE

Blessings are meant to be shared whether they’re material or spiritual. Outreach and service are high priorities in Florida Conference. More than $1.2 million is spent annually to assist local churches in outreach and evangelism.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. —Galatians 5:22-23

In times of natural disaster, the disaster response infrastructure goes into action. Staffed by local members, pastors, and Conference employees, the team is in place and on call at all times to assist Florida’s communities through direct support. In addition to coordinating material assistance, volunteers serve as the warehouse management team for State-operated distribution centers. For more information or volunteer opportunities, call (407) 644-5000 x124.

The Conference Youth Ministries Department organizes hands-on service opportunities for youth and adults, both in Florida and nearby countries. Extending a helping hand toward communities in great need is a challenging and rewarding experience. For more information or to volunteer, call (407) 644-5000 x127.
