About UsFlorida Conference of Seventh-day Adventists® is an unincorporated, nonprofit organization which serves the as the administrative body for its sisterhood of churches with emphasis on evangelism, nurturing constituents, and operating a system of schools. The territory of Florida Conference, organized in 1893, includes the entire state except Bay, Calhoun, Escambia, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Walton, and Washington counties which belong to the Gulf States Conference. As of second quarter 2008, more than 58,000 Florida Adventists are members at 190 churches and 47 companies.
Mission StatementFlorida Conference of Seventh-day Adventists® exists to proclaim the everlasting gospel in the context of its distinctive doctrines and the three angels' messages of Revelation 14, and, under the influence of the Holy Spirit, persuade all peoples within its territory to become Christ's disciples and responsible members of the Church. The Conference also nurtures, serves, and ministers to its constituency in the name of Christ, and contributes to the overall goals and objectives of the world Church and its mission. The Conference is committed to fostering the bonds of unity and cooperation among all segments of its membership. This commitment stems from the firm conviction that each member is a brother or sister in Christ entrusted with spiritual gifts to be used for enriching God's Church. |
